Having been with Arm for almost 13 years, Robin has worked in a number of different technical roles spanning research into operating system design, through to optimising open source software for Arm and on to software safety techniques for Vehicle Autonomy control. Some of the key projects that Robin has been responsible for have been designing and implementing the operating system and programmer’s model for Arm’s first ever software defined radio chipset, creating and leading Arm’s first open source software team at Cambridge, leading the team responsible for creating the mainline Linux kernel’s Energy Aware Scheduling cluster of technologies and bootstrapping Arm’s open source vehicle autonomy team. At present, Robin is the architect for the Automotive and IoT team which uses Xen prominently.
